So far I’m liking the base game a lot, but I wasn’t sure if the DLCs add a whole lot more to the game that make it more enjoyable than it is already or if it’s merely extra content for hardcore fans. Any thoughts?

It adds new areas, items, weapons, bosses. It’s very worth it! I think most (if not all) of the content is available on 0BC as well which is nice.
